PRIVACY STATEMENT

Management Analytics and Social Insights (MASI) collects and processes personal information only as needed to operate the journal, manage submissions and peer review, publish scholarly content, communicate with users, maintain the integrity of the scholarly record, and meet legal, ethical, and technical requirements.

Information collected
Information may include names, email addresses, usernames, passwords stored in protected form, institutional affiliations, countries, ORCID iDs, biographies, correspondence, submission and review records, declarations, and other information that users provide. The platform may also collect technical data such as IP address, browser information, access time, and activity logs for security, troubleshooting, and service administration.

How information is used
Personal information is used to:
• create and administer user accounts;
• manage manuscript submission, editorial assessment, peer review, production, and publication;
• communicate editorial decisions, review requests, publication information, and essential service notices;
• verify authorship, contributor, reviewer, and editor records;
• detect and investigate security incidents, misconduct, duplicate submission, or other threats to research integrity;
• generate internal and aggregated journal statistics; and
• preserve an accurate scholarly and editorial record.

Disclosure and access
Access to personal information is limited to authorized journal and publisher personnel and, where required for the editorial process, assigned editors, reviewers, authors, and service providers. MASI does not sell personal information. Information will not be disclosed for unrelated commercial purposes. It may be disclosed when required by law, to protect the security or integrity of the service, to investigate suspected misconduct under appropriate procedures, or to service providers acting on behalf of the journal subject to suitable confidentiality and security obligations.

Peer review and publication
MASI uses double-blind peer review. The journal takes reasonable steps to withhold author and reviewer identities from one another during review, but complete anonymity cannot be guaranteed where identity is apparent from the work or external information. Information intentionally included in a published article—such as author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, acknowledgements, funding, competing-interest statements, and contact details designated for publication—becomes part of the public scholarly record and may be indexed, archived, and redistributed with the article.

Retention
Account, submission, review, decision, and publication records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the journal, preserve the scholarly record, resolve disputes, investigate ethical concerns, and satisfy legal or contractual obligations. Information that is no longer required will be deleted or anonymized where reasonably practicable, subject to the integrity of published and editorial records.

Security
MASI and its service providers use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and should notify the journal of suspected unauthorized access.

Cookies and technical data
The journal platform may use essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, preferences, security, and site operation. Server logs and usage information may be used to maintain performance, prevent abuse, and understand use of the journal service.

User choices and requests
Subject to applicable law and the need to preserve legitimate editorial and scholarly records, users may request access to or correction of their personal information and may request account deactivation or deletion of information that is not required for the scholarly record or other legitimate purposes. Users may update many account details through their profile.

Contact
Questions or requests concerning personal information may be sent to masi@reapress.com. To protect users, the journal may need to verify identity before acting on a request.

By registering, submitting, reviewing, or otherwise using the journal platform, users acknowledge that their information will be handled as described in this statement.
